MailScan 6.1 for LAN-Projekt WinProxy is the world's first "Real-Time" e-mail scanner for the WinProxy Mail Server. This server is published by LAN-Projekt. MailScan 6.1 for LAN-Projekt WinProxy acts like a Content-Security and AntiVirus Software for your Corporate WinProxy Mail Server. It will scan and clean emails that: A) Flow between all the local users. B) Go from your WinProxy Mail Server to the Internet. C) That comes inside your WinProxy Mail Server from the Internet (either via SMTP or POP3). MailScan is the *only* product available across the world that transparently works on both SMTP and POP3 traffic. It has the world's first Real-Time eMail Content-Security and AntiVirus that analyzes eMails on a real time basis *before* it is delivered to your clients or servers. Both SMTP and POP3 are supported. Technically, a new layer, called as the MicroWorld Winsock Layer (MWL), has been introduced between the default WinSock2 and the applications. This layer is responsible for analyzing the traffic that flows between WinProxy and the Internet or your applications. AntiVirus and Content-Checking are only few of the benefits offered by MailScan. It also has a Generic Attachment Analyzer, Automatic Compression / Decompression feature, a comprehensive Notification engine and hosts of features hitherto found in any other package. MailScan uses the eScan Content-Security and AntiVirus to scan all attachments contained in eMails. Emails sent out to the Internet and coming in from the Internet are scanned and cleaned of Viruses and its contents checked, before your actual email server processes the same. All the MailScan processes are multi-threaded. All types of attachments are handled by MailScan, including MIME and UUEncoded.
